Ramadan  is the holy month for Muslims. They observe fast for 30 days in this month. The fasting starts on sighting the moon on the 1st day of the month and ends when the moon is sighted for Eid ul Fitr.

Fasting  is a compulsion in this month in the religion ,as it is considered to be the purification of the Gut cleansing of the body, it also helps to rebuild the good bacteria in the Gut. Hence one month of fasting will cleanse the body entirely. Fasting also helps rejuvenate the mind and sharpens the brain helps  you think better .These days intermittent fasting is a new fashion  in the weight loss industry. Fasting in the month of Ramadan has been here for 1500 years since the beginning of Islam.

Fasting in this month of Ramadan can be beneficial only if   it is done in the right manner otherwise  it may spoil the health and make you sick. Hence the right way has to be followed in order  to  lose weight as well as improve health in the month of Ramzan.

Here I have a diet plan for Ramzan to lose weight.

It is recommended that before Ramadan you weigh yourself and record the weight on a journal or book and also measure your waist with a tailors measuring tape  and record that too and then start your plan as follows at the end of Ramzan please weight and measure yourself again.

Suhoor/Sehri

In sehri we need to make sure we get up early enough to have a good meal. Wake up freshen up have little water if need ed and then have good meal  .The meal can contain a bowl of Oats(steel cut not instant Oats) with some fruits like apples bananas, raisins ,berries,  almonds ,fig ,dates or any other fruits that you love. You can add milk to oats.You can add few drops of coconut  virgin oil if you are okay with the taste otherwise you can skip that.

If you don’t like oats you can have   malai paratha  or omlette or boiled eggs or even chicken gravy and paratha.Make sure you don’t feel acidic during the day time with it. Chew the food well eat slowly be thankful for the meal eat with family if possible.Sit cross legged on the floor for good digestion.After the meal relax and have a cup of tea or coffee if you need.Wait for maximum time possible then have enough water sip slowly while sitting do not gulp water.

Stell cut Oats

Workout.

If you are really looking to lose weight in this month its best time to lose upto 10kgs very easily with  very less efforts.Workout for atleast 20 to 30 mins  and do it 30 mins before Iftaar so that if you feeling week or tired due to hunger you will have no problem as immediately you will able to do iftaar soon after workout. You don’t need to go to the Gym you can do simple yoga some light stretches and push ups crunches or burpees at home.You can even consider a walk for 15 to 20 minutes if possible.If you have a treadmill at home that would be easy as well .

Also practice deep and slow breathing excersie for atleast 5 minutes daily this will help you make your mind peaceful and lose weight fast

Iftaar

Iftaar is the most critical time of the day as you are very hungry by this time and people at home and around are cooking tasty food for the breaking of the fast. This is the time we need to be very patient and calculative also very cautious. Do not starve yourself but also we need to eat right in order to get muscle recovery from workout and lose weight.

Break the fast with 2 dates then have  a glass of warm lemon water and honey also add Himalayan pink salt to it. Sip this slowly .This warm lime and salt water will ensure that you don’t feel weak or dizzy during the day as it will fulfill electrolytes in the body.

 Eating and drinking with fast speed  is the habit during iftaar please avoid this. It is not written in any hades to eat  fast.

Wait for some time after that  maybe around 15 minutes you can complete the prayers .After that have very small snack like kebab or chicken barbeque medium piece or anything else that you like chana chaat  besan chilla  paneer or anything  veg or non veg Make sure its less in quantity and full of nutrients and protein .Please avoid any bhajiya pakode or any other deep fried items. Also avoid falooda milk shake pepsi coke tang roohafza or any other juices or beverages. In times of thirst only water is recommended .After that have tea or coffee as desired but very less sugar.

Dinner

At dinner time have regular food veg or non veg again avoid deep fried items.Have  chicken or mutton gravy with paratha or roti .you can also chicken biryani egg curry rice or pulav.Veg sabzi roti dal rice paneer  or rajma chole as preferred .Add ghee to riice dal and roti as this will help you remain full and you will not feel weak during the day.

Have some salad with the dinner that will ensure that your food is digested well and your stomach will clear well in the morning.

After dinner avoid any desserts and beverages have enough water  you can have curd or chaas if you feel dehydrated but no Roohafza and falooda or custard and lassi  please.

Try to finish dinner early as possible and get enough sleep .If unable to sleep much at night then take a nap in the day time to cover up.

Important Tips

Please avoid having Maida(white flour) in any form like roti burger or pizza noodles or pasta

Please avoid sugar as much as possible.

If you have had a very heavy Iftaar please skip the dinner.

Portion control is a mandate do not overeat for any meal eat just right not very less as well.

Make sure you are not constipated during this month, so you can have aloe vera juice before bed time it acts as a laxative and keeps your body hydrated.So you will have a good bowel movement.

If you follow this it will surely help you lose weight as this plan contains less carbohydrates and sugar and more proteins and electrolytes

Signs and symptoms of Gut problem

How do we know if we have a Gut problem in the 1st place? If you feel acidity, bloating belching, vomiting, heaviness, fullness, nausea after having food then you have an issue .Other symptoms could be constipation, diarrhea, bad breath, thyroid , hair fall, hormone imbalance, diabetes, blood pressure, depression, anxiety, fatty liver, Inflammation, brain fog, tiredness, abdominal pain or cramps or any kind of skin problems.

Gut linning

First the gut lining should be fixed to further fix other two aspects .The Gut lining is made up of mucus and if it is not enough or if it has been damaged  due to unhealthy food and unhealthy lifestyle or taking too many antibiotics then you may feel acidic most of the time. Hence we need to fix this. You need to start consuming aloe Vera juice from a good source make sure it is organic. You can consume half a cup like 15 to 20 ml you can dilute with water if desired  and you can add honey for taste if you feel  the need. Have this early in the morning at least 30 minutes before breakfast. This will fix the gut lining. But it can’t be done for only 1 day .Make sure you do it for at least 2 to 3 months in a row to heal completely and have a good gut lining. If you see any side affects you may stop it or have less frequently or reduce the dosage and see if it works well. Continue if no side effects.

This will heal the lining on the inner walls of the stomach and intestines and give you good digestion

If you don’t like Aloe Vera  juice then you can simple have this powder name “ the leaky  gut” it does the same effect to the gut.

The Stomach acid

 We need a good amount of stomach acid to digest the food well and make sure the food doesn’t ferment in the intestines.

If you have low stomach acid you will have bloating or acid reflux burping which will then cause all the other health problems. Because   if food not digested well you won’t get’s nutrients out of it and will become weak and unhealthy also you may gain a lot of weight. You may also face other health issues like blood pressure, diabetes or any other autoimmune diseases.

Hence to fix this you can have apple cider vinegar daily on empty stomach in the morning  or you can have it before every meal .This will create good amount of acid required in the stomach to digest the food.

Dilute 2 tbsp  of apple cider  vinegar in half a glass of warm water add honey

if don’t like the taste.  Consume it with a paper straw to avoid erosion of tooth enamel. Please buy apple cider vinegar which is organic with the mother in a glass bottle. Apple cider vinegar in a plastic bottle is synthetic and  useless.

If you don’t like apple cider vinegar or are getting side affects you may replace it with fresh lemon juice and honey with some Himalayan salt.

If you don’t like apple cider vinegar or lemon both of these then only alternative is to have a capsule name betaine  hcl pepsin. This creates good amount of acid in the stomach to digest the food.

Have it in the middle of the meal with a small sip of water. Do it with every meal .It will help to digest the food if one capsule doesn’t work try 2 or 3 its harmless. This you can do till you feel healthy minimum 3 months is recommended.

Also remember not to have lot of water during meals this will kill the acid and you will not be able to digest the food. Have water 20 minutes before or 20 minutes after the meal but not during the meal.

Last but not the least after you have done aloe vera juice for 3 months and apple cider vinegar for 3 months you gut lining and stomach acid is fixed you can continue or discontinue those as per your desire  and health situation. Now you need to consume a very good prebiotic and probiotic  to fix  the Gut bacteria  You can do this only if the above 2 solutions have not fixed your gut by 100% and if you think something more is needed then you can do this. But you are happy with the 1st two options then do not go for step 3.

Search for good prebiotic and probiotic consume it on 30 minutes before food .See how it works  it may give you side effects for a day or two try a few times if suits  you then you can continue .If any side affects you can stop or try after some days or stop if still gives you any problems. But if it suits you this will rebuild the colony of good bacteria in your gut and will keep you healthy forever.

In the meantime, your son and neighbor’s daughter enter the compound of the building and you see them and heave a sigh of relief, you start questioning why you both are late. Son says, papa! One procession was passing through the road and traffic police stopped all vehicles for about half an hour. You are satisfied you blame yourself what a fool am I to think negative? In such a situation you have to remember God who protects and tries to establish communication with a person you are worried about. Reason and logic are best friends and faith in God added to them solves many problems. Take the example of past thoughts of failure which leads to worry strengthen your reason and think that past is like a dead man neither can he harm you, nor benefit you. Then why care. If you have suffered a loss due to mischief of someone who cheated you and if the loss cannot be made good, think of God who controls everyone and say God will certainly punish the person who cheated me God’s justice always prevails and if anyone escaped punishment in this life, life hereafter is not far, he will certainly be punished. Everyone has to pay the price of his own deeds. In every situation, faith and reason are best friends. Remedy to acquire peace of mind is within us. The question is how to apply negative thoughts are our worst enemies. The creation of thought or immoral desire is the insinuation of Satan. All spiritualists and men of psychology agree that good and bad forces are acting on our minds. The choice is ours what to choose. However evil thoughts can be ward off by calling the help of God. Say “I seek the refuge of God from the mischief of Satan” and while starting any work say, “I begin in the name of God most beneficent and merciful”. The human mind is like a big hall but without doors. So, any thought can enter into mind from any side. If you ignore evil or negative thought it may go out and may not disturb you. Take the help of God to ward off bad thoughts inviting pious thoughts by reading Holy Scripture and reciting the name of God will automatically reduce or eliminate negative thoughts, unnatural thoughts cannot be cultivated on the soil of reality. Increase your positive thought inputs to get maximum positive thought output. Meditation and remembering God will give peace of mind. Most religions prescribe rituals that are in the form of meditation or recitation of the name of god. The object is that believers in God may get peace of mind. Some religions do not believe in God and believe that nature functions by its own laws and there is no necessity of controlling. Such people believe that karma the law of nature controls everything and things take their natural course, creation, or destruction. Such people have to do what they can do and leave things to nature to happen. Apart from negative thoughts, there are intervening thoughts which may be of past, present, and future. They disturb you while concentrating or meditating or praying. For example, a student is reading a book to prepare for an examination which is to take place the next day. Thought of controversy which (Controversy) he had with his friend hits his mind. His concentration is disturbed. He is reading but the thought is obstructing him. He does not know what he read because his mind was somewhere else. The problem is of awareness. He is not aware of what he is reading. The solution is to increase awareness. The brain is an objective reality and whereas the mind is a subjective one. It is the subject of the science of psychology to probe into the functioning of mind there are several books written on this subject. Here we are not going to probe the theoretical aspect of mind. Out object is to use the mind to maximize the peace which is the longing for every human being.

A mind is a thinking machine that never stops. Even if we are asleep sub-conscious mind is working. There is nothing like a separate subconscious mind from the body of the brain, but it is a functional support system as prof. Zia has mentioned in his book “Thought Process control” How this system of the subconscious mind or functional support system or auto function works is itself a subject and we are not going to deal in this short article.

Everyone knows the activity of the mind and there is no need to understand through the book. It is enough if we understand what we are and how can we remain peaceful, secure, and confident.

Thought itself cannot move a pin by a quarter of an inch. All actions are preceded by thoughts. There is no time and limit to the process of thinking; creative thoughts converted into action have built advanced society whereas destructive thoughts followed by such actions have ruined many civilizations in the past.

Thought by itself cannot do anything; hence there is no need to be afraid of thoughts even if it can be most destructive.

Most important thing is that thoughts are accompanied by feelings, what we call worries, are the result of unpleasant thoughts created by circumstances, and similarly interesting and pleasure-giving thoughts give pleasure. Thus, thoughts are medium through which happiness or unhappiness is realized. Thoughts are of past, present, and future. They are negative, positive, or neutral. Thoughts continuously occupy a conscious mind. Thoughts of past events and future plans continuously hit the screen of the mind. Desires create thoughts of any type and they are undesirable. Thoughts are no problem but feeling generated through the thoughts is certainly meaningful. Feelings and thoughts are not easily separable. Thoughts of past failure, insult, emotional and material loss, if they hit conscious mind, it has definitely the effect of creating melancholy but not as much as they created a feeling of despondency when they first hit the screen of the conscious mind. The problem is not of thought but a negative effect it creates on the mind.

The question is how we can control the feeling of eliminating it. It would be a stupendous task to eliminate feeling. Feeling or emotion is a natural tendency of mind, the human mind is sensitive, and sensitiveness differs from person to person like balance which weighs gold and balance which weights iron and in between. Controlling of feeling/emotion is a solution to maintain the equilibrium of mind. Thoughts of physical loss or material loss or of whom you love create a storm of thoughts in mind which is not controllable at a particular point of time. But time heals the wounds and in course of time the effect of tragedy is nullified, and equilibrium of mind gets restored.

Intellect and reason are the best tools to control emotions but at times thoughts are not controllable and they challenge all logic and all philosophical approach. Time has to be allowed to be passed and intellect, logic, and philosophical approach will help restore the equilibrium of mind as compared to others. Who does not like to use these tools as they do not know about these things or either do not know how to apply?

You Are Pure Consciousness

With the progress of modern CIVILIZATION, the activity of the mind has increased many folds, now the stage has come when human beings are craving for peace of mind and to achieve it, they are running from pillar to post.

 The basic question which requires to be answered is whether we know our true self. Our busy mind has no time to think WHO AM I? What is my place in this universe and what is the object of the entire creation and of human beings. The question arises in a confused and frustrated mind and every intellectual human feels he does not know what direction he is moving in a short span of life, what he is really supposed to do, whether craving for pleasure through five senses, is the only objective. If happiness is the object and purpose of life what happiness means, am I happy? This muddle of mind and many questions generated by desires and acts of ego have made human life much complicated. Most of the people are running after entertainment which is a temporary diversion from the actual reality of life. Basic question is to know your own self but how? Without self-realization, life is simply like mirage seeking something which slips from his hand while he thinks he has got it.

To realize own self, we should know our self. Mostly we know our self through our body and five senses which are only external and above all we have a mind, but a mind is a machine generating thoughts whether we like them or not. Mostly mind moves towards negative thoughts particularly ego-based and craving for something which we could not get, with all efforts; mind and thoughts are uncontrollable Repetitions of harassing thoughts are big problems for most of us. All this is a superficial activity of the mind and not real reflections Most of our thoughts are useless and peace disturbing. So, attempt to acquire peace of mind through the mind is deceitful and not result-oriented.

hen what to do? Turn to spirituality self-awareness will ward off unnecessary thoughts.

 Awareness requires us to live in the present and go egoless. How can it be done? We have to go deep in our own self through meditation. Materialists will say ‘NO’ it is all nonsense No they are mistaken we have to go spiritual to get peace. Meditate! There are many methods to go into meditation and get rid of worries which are simply artificial cover on the mind. The popular method of meditation is to sit in a quiet place. Close eyes and try to cool down the mind and determine not to think anything, concentrate on your breathe and try to be calm, In the course of time by repetition you will learn to ward off thoughts. Search your true identity you are nature’s best creation. There is light within you, search it, If a diamond has fallen in the mud, it cannot show its glitter, similar is your consciousness which is not showing light, take diamond of consciousness out from the mud, clean it, your consciousness will shine and go ahead and get signal from universal consciousness which encompasses entire universes and you are just sample of consciousness when you are one with universal consciousness you will know your true existence. It will give you insight and you will know universal consciousness of all things in universe transcending time space and matter limitation.

YES WE ARE MISTAKEN

 Committing of mistake is of very ancient origin. Adam and Eve ate fruits prohibited by God and they were asked to leave heaven and descend on the earth. After seeking forgiveness, they were assured by God to be taken back in heaven after pursuing life on the earth for trial. We the children of Adam and Eve would not have come into the existence but for the mistake of the first couple in heaven. 

We daily read in the newspapers about the road, railways, and aerial accidents. In most cases wherein the inquiries are made to ascertain the causes of the accident and identify who is responsible for loss, most of the inquiries reveal that there was a mistake in doing some act either by man or machine. The machine is handled by a technician. Ultimately it all comes on man attending the operation of the machines. Apart from this, we read about death on railway tracks or on the road while crossing roads or railway tracks. Many time victims suffer due to own negligence haste or deliberate act and sometimes over a speeding vehicle or train are the reason for accidental death. The loss of life is due to a mistake or negligence on either side victim or vehicle driver.

 Competition on road to overtake another vehicle leads to accidents. In the same ways to match other’s prosperity due to envy leads to disaster. Such examples are found in our daily life. Mr. X who is Govt Official takes bribe and trapped by A.C.B red-handed, on questioning by inquiry officer he reveals that he envied neighbor buying a very costly motor vehicle and he was chiding me for having old two-wheeler bike so to match his standard I resorted to taking bribe though I was not doing so previously Thus envy is an ingenious human gesture. To make money by hard work intelligently and enter into the healthy competition is all right but to do illegal and criminal acts can only land the person in trouble one day or another day. At Present, there is a tendency among youth to make fast bucks. In the earlier period, three-generations doing business could become rich by 40-50 years for hard work at business or profession, but youths have no patience. 

 They want to be rich fast and boast before friends, neighbors, relatives for achievements in a short time. But after toiling and moiling for a long time when there is little progress, they resort to criminal acts Such as Cybercrimes cheating others. Every day you read in the newspaper so and so got a fake call, Caller posing as bank official asking all the details and passwords and withdrawing money from the bank account of others. The root cause behind such act is rivalry, envy and inordinate desire to become rich in a short time and show to the people how I have earned but when people know about the malicious act of the person who faces prosecution and placed behind the bars, he has no face to show to the society. 

 Another kind of act of such youths are the ones who go to a club and tries to earn in gambling or speculation business or forwarding trading wherein a few profit but most of them fail and we read in newspaper cases of suicide due to failure. Another type of mistake or negligence in pursuing proper studies in overconfidence to prepare in last month preceding final exam earlier eight to nine months they like to wander with girl/boyfriends, have fun and when the exam comes near they are unable to complete the studies and thoughts of enjoyments, chit-chat on a cell phone and watching movies occupy their minds and end result is a failure and very few learn from failure most of them leave studies in between and go for low paid employment as parents no longer able to maintain them. 

Some mistakes have an impact on the life of individuals spoiling their financial and moral career but acts of reckless egotist politicians cause irreparable damage to people of the country they lead by deciding to resort to war to satisfy their own ego. In the last century, the world has seen two world wars and the consequences of such wars are well known and need no mention here millions and millions of lives are lost and wealth worth billions and billions of dollars are lost. In the root of the mistakes, decisions based on personal ego of those leaders in power In the present-day politics, personal ego of leaders is still playing its negative role, which should not happen and good counsel should prevail and welfare of the people should be of the utmost consideration instead satisfying own ego. Nature is graceful and merciful to everyone. A natural disaster like floods, earthquakes, and Tsunami takes a toll on human life and property what are the causes? 

The roots of such a disaster are inhuman behaviors in defying nature. Disaster comes to punish collectively as collective negative karma is behind such calamities. Religious scripture has described evil actions of human beings resulting in calling the wrath of nature such examples are found in Old Testaments and the Quran and others. The people of prophet LUT practiced Homosexuality and in spite of a warning from the prophet, they did not desist from doing sinful deeds At the prophet’s call God Showered stone from heaven (maybe meteorite) Killing the people and burying them under heaps of stone, still that place exists in the Middle East which is preserved as a lesson to the people of all time. In conclusion, the human mistake just as mentioned above and all negative thoughts, acts, ego, anger, and other human anomalies result in loss of life and property Assure that we be more careful and learn lessons from past errors and make life worth living for us and all others.

 Every human being has an external and internal self. Five senses are in contact with the material side of life. Pleasure and pain are felt through five senses. It is always the tendency of man to Endeavor to satisfy the senses. To live for pleasure is a common object of all human beings, though a few can claim that they lived up to their expectation and satisfaction. Most of the man end up with unfulfilled desires and craving for material gain till last breath.

How so ever man may acquire resources to satisfy the hunger for enjoyment through five senses but the limitation of body spurns him for going ahead. One may enjoy sumptuous food, drinks, dance, music, and move around the world and have material and physical enjoyment to the maximum extent but a point of time body refuses to have any further enjoyment. Sensual pleasures are subject to limitation and as a man grows older, 

sensual pleasures will diminish. Material pleasure is subject to the law of diminishing utility and at the time of reaching advance age, events leading to despair and failures faced in life emerged as negative thoughts and the man feels that he has not acquired anything for his true internal self which is beyond the realm of five senses, it has built-in Divinity and charity and desire for searching self. The satisfaction of the internal self has the tendency to prefer

 Divinity as against material enjoyment. Ultimately the self-searching seeker of truth realizes that real pleasure is in acquiring proximity of Divine self through prayers, meditation, and charity. In fact, internal self-satisfaction has many relations with human bondage and pleasure is much more in giving rather than enjoying individually. To wipe tears and bring simile on the face of an unhappy soul is quite different phenomena than to be drowned in pursuit of material pleasure

To balance the action of the external self and internal self is the real charm of living in true sense. It is up to the individual to find the equilibrium to his level of satisfaction.
